This is the Symbol of our FREEDOM!
Some may think that patriotism is an unwavering devotion and support to one’s country, a national loyalty. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Nazi’s had the same support for Hitler. When I enlisted in the United States Army years ago, I did not do so to defend my country, but to defend the values and freedoms of the citizens of my country. The truth is that patriotism is the support, dedication, and devotion for liberty, freedom, and opposition to government. The United States Flag is a symbol of our patriotism to such freedom.
I do not support or endorse the government, but I rather support the freedom that the government allows. I do not salute the Constitution, but rather the liberty that the Constitution upholds.
This country was found on the principles of personal freedom and the fighting against a tyrannical government, and I would join in the war against any tyrannical government, even our own (should the time come), in order to preserve liberty and freedom for myself and future generations.
