The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints expressed appreciation today for a full-page advertisement in The New York Times that decries the “violence and intimidation” directed toward the Church because of its support of Proposition 8.

It is amazing that a group of people (homosexuals) who claim peaceful tolerance are filled with such hate, anger, and violence after the majority of the people of California voted to pass proposition 8 to rid the state of same-sex marriage. So, the passing of Amendments to State Constitions by a majority of voters through a democratic process was not enough. The gays are blaming the LDS Church that we are taking away their marriage rights. They are protesting in the streets, rioting around temples, destroying and defacing Church property.
