I recently came across an outstanding music artist, Mindy Gledhill. I had listened to a couple samples of songs from her website, and I had to buy the CD. I got the CD today and was thoroughly impressed. I really liked the song, “Feather in the Wind.” It reminds me of personal struggles that each of us face in our lives. The vocals are very soothing and are spiritually uplifting. Mindy’s music is definitely a reflection of her beliefs. My personal favorite is a new song that is part of a new album she is working on. The song, “Anchor,” can be heard on Mindy’s blog. Her music tops the cake on any LDS artist that I have heard.
She is a student at Brigham Young University’s School of Music. Apparently, the acclaimed composer Kenneth Cope heard Mindy at a songwriter’s workshop. Impressed by the depth of her songwriting and the emotion in her voice, Kenneth offered to produce Mindy’s first album and immediately began to mentor her. Mindy has toured with both Kenneth Cope and Jenny Phillips. As a BYU student, she currently lives in Provo, UT with her husband, Ryan, and their two sons.
