Everyone loves good clean movies. Now there is a place to get good movies online so that you can get an edited version of a movie that may have originally been “Rated R” or even “Rated PG-13″ by the MPAA. While I support the idea of the consumer being able to have a choice on what they watch and being able to have an edited copy of a movie, at the same time it requires someone else to watch the movie and view and listen to the offensive content in order for them to know where to make the edits. So for that reason, it is hard for me to support the idea of edited movies and buying them.
While I support the idea of FREEDOM guaranteed by the United States Constitution, at the same time it requires someone to risk their life, die, and take a bullet on my behalf so that I can enjoy that freedom. Because of this, it is very EASY for me to support the idea of a military force willing to defend my freedom from enemy combatants.
…or perhaps a Savior, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins of ALL mankind so that you will not have to suffer yourself. Is it hard for you to support that idea too???
Likewise, edited movies are great. Yes, someone else does have to watch the movie (unedited) to know what needs to be removed so that thousands of other people and enjoy that edited movie. And if it is so hard for you to support that, than you have no understanding of what charitable sacrifice really is.
