You would be surprised at how many people judge others too quickly. By judging too quickly, opportunities are lost, innocent people are condemned, and relationships are destroyed.

The scriptures are very clear about judging others:

And now, my brethren, seeing that ye know the light by which ye may judge, which light is the light of Christ, see that ye do not judge wrongfully; for with that same judgment which ye judge ye shall also be judged. – Moroni 7:18

It is human nature, the natural man, to judge others. It happens everyday such as in job interviews, when customers walk into a business, or perhaps misinformation provided by others.

Some people think that you can determine another’s wealth or character by what they wear, what they drive, or how they live. This is so far from the truth, but it is human nature to judge unrighteously. Be very careful how you judge others. The man with the Armani suit may in fact be a deception, who is broke and in debt over his head, while the man walking down the street in torn and faded blue jeans may in fact be a millionaire.

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. – 1 Samuel 16:7

Let us all change the way that we view others and not forget the teachings of Christ.
