In the Saturday morning session of the 178th SemiAnnual General Conference, President Thomas S. Monson announced the building of 5 more temples in the coming months and years:
1. Calgary, Alberta, Canada
2. Cordoba, Argentina
3. “the greater Kansas City area”
4. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
5. Rome, Italy

The Church launched an upgraded version of its online meetinghouse locator on August 20, 2008, that can be accessed directly at maps.lds.org.
